Diving in the Red Sea, freedom and vacation
Marsa Shagra on the coast of the Red Sea offers a unique opportunity to dive directly from land at a house reef that has been a marine reserve for a long time. Here you will live directly on the coast, enjoy full board, relaxation and do lots of nice dives right out on the house reef. A fantastic place for those who film or photograph and really want to practice and try new challenges. Trips by boat out to reefs in the sea are also offered and one place to visit is of course the famous Elphinstone reef which often offers encounters with the fantastically beautiful white shark.

Your accommodation
We have booked accommodation in lovely Marsa Shagra which is a very popular and underrated diving destination by the world's divers. We will stay in so-called Royal Tents. Luxurious tents with substantial beds, plenty of space to spread out and here you live comfortably and well in direct connection to the sea, close to the restaurant and the diving center. Full board is offered and coffee, tea, water and soft drinks are also included. It is an amazing feeling to sleep in the tents and experience the silence as darkness settles over the desert on the coast of the mighty Red Sea. For those who wish, you can upgrade your accommodation to a so-called deluxe chalet for an additional cost.

At meals you will enjoy really good food, talk about the day's experiences and get tips and ideas on what to look at and look for the next dive. Marsa Shagra dive camp is a bit of an institution and the house reef has been a protected marine park for many many years. 

Your ambassador: Copenhagen's diving school will be on the trip and have Nordic instructors on site. For those of you who want to learn to dive, get a diving certificate on site, or take a continuation course, you have the world's opportunity to experience the world below the surface for the first time or to develop your skills and gain new experiences below the surface.

Accommodation and diving in Marsa Shagra

Marsa Shagra Dive camp offers several different types of accommodation and is located directly on the coast of the Red Sea. Here you will stay in a Chalet or a great Royal tent for a week and at the same time dive a lot, relax and socialize with other divers. At the diving camp, you have full board, so you don't have to think about food and even certain drinks (coffee, tea, water and soft drinks) are included in your accommodation.

The diving takes place directly at the beach and is easy and suitable for everyone. You control when and how you want to dive and here you have access to the wonderful marine life and colors of the reef. Here you will see lots of beautiful, strange and colorful fish and other marine life. For those who want to experience slightly larger animals, you have the opportunity to go by boat to some of the outer reefs, where the possibility of meeting different species of shark is very good. The beautiful fin shark is common out at the Elphinstone reef and hammerhead sharks, manta rays, whale sharks and various reef sharks are also seen here regularly.

Itinerary - Day by day

Day 1
You leave Scandinavia and fly to Hurghada. Regular flight with a full 40 kg of checked luggage, food on the flight included.
Meet and assist at the airport, where you will also receive your visa and then a transfer to Marsa Shagra Dive Camp

Day 2-8
You check in at lunchtime and then have 7 nights accommodation in Chalet or Royal Tent, double room including full board and diving. On site you have five diving days with unlimited diving from land, tank, weights.
Freedom and simplicity and Nordic instructors will be on hand for those of you who want to take diving courses or just have tips on your recreational diving. 

For those who do not dive, there are opportunities for relaxation, snorkelling and land tours as well as sunbathing and swimming. 
For those who wish, it is possible to book an additional diving day on site.
Possibility to go out by boat to diving sites out in the sea, Zone A, B or C, which can be booked on site. 

Day 9
You check out in the middle of the day and then there is a transfer back to Hurghada and a flight back to Scandinavia.

Day 10
Arrival in Scandinavia

Our program is only a preliminary plan that is influenced based on the external conditions that the weather gods reward us with. This means that we may have to move activities and dive sites to other days and also replace planned activities with alternatives if required. We ask you to be flexible.
