A versatile destination. Crikvenica riviera in Croatia is a quiet, cozy village, ideal for divers and families as well as anyone who prefers a relaxing holiday. The Crikvenica Riviera is located north of the Adriatic coast. The town of Crikvenica gets its name from the large church that stands in the middle of the town and has a fantastic climate and more than 2500 hours of sunshine. The beaches are stony and sandy and along the beach strip you will find several restaurants and bars. Being a relatively quiet town, it is ideal for divers and groups as well as anyone who prefers a relaxing holiday. If you want to go out in the evening, there are a number of bars to visit.
In and around Crikvenica there is a lot to do, you can take a trip to the cozy island of Krk, rent a car to see the surroundings, take an excursion to the fantastically beautiful national park Risnjak. In the clear blue waters between the Crikvenica Riviera and the island of Krk, you will find some of the finest diving spots in the Adriatic Sea. The diving conditions in this part of the northern Adriatic Sea are excellent with a wide selection of interesting dive sites, good visibility, little or no currents and relatively warm sea temperatures.
Visibility varies between 5 to 30+ meters, depending on the weather and the dive site. In summer the surface temperature can reach up to 27°C and in winter the average is 11°C. The most attractive dive sites are wrecks, rock ledges, caves, reefs and tunnels.
