Sulawesi Bunaken Lembeh Bangka Indonesia

Sulawesi and its northern parts with Bunaken, Lembeh Straits and Bangka are home to thousands of colorful, rare and strange marine creatures and also historic wrecks. North Sulawesi is known as "The land of waving coconut palms". The coast here is really bordered by coconut plantations. Further inland, the terrain is mountainous. Here there are both active volcanoes and fantastic viewpoints.
Between the hills and mountains you will find beautiful lakes, hot springs and green rice fields. In the beautiful dense jungle, you can sometimes glimpse the occasional monkey. Try diving in Sulawesi Bunaken, Lembeh and Bangka in Indonesia is probably a must for every diver at some point in their life. The diving in Sulawesi with Bunaken, Lembeh and Bangka here is really amazing and this is a destination that you can go to all year round. This is also one of the world's most popular diving destinations, although it never or rarely feels crowded under the surface.
North Sulawesi
North Sulawesi is one of a total of 32 provinces in Indonesia and the provincial capital here is called Manado. Manado has one of its own international airport so it's easy to get here. Just outside Manado city is the world famous Bunaken Marine National Park which consists of five islands is generally called just Bunaken. The Marine Park is considered one of the best places for diving in the world and undoubtedly one of the most famous. The warm water makes this area truly a diving mecca for both beginners and experienced divers. You can live out on Bunaken or one of the small neighboring islands of Siladen or you can live on the main island. Here are some nice resorts where you will have a good time.
In the north-eastern part of Sulawesi you will find a paradise for muck diving – Lembeh Straits.
Lembeh is a strait that runs between the main island of Sulawesi and the small island of Lembeh. Lembeh or Lembeh Strait is famous for its strange and strange fish and many other animals. Here you will also find octopuses, nudibranchs or nudibranchs, crustaceans and much more. Lembeh is therefore a must visit at some point for every underwater photographer and those who like macro and so-called muck diving.
Bangka is a small island north of Sulawesi and here you have a small paradise with fantastic corals, flowing water and a fabulous macro life with strange invertebrates and fascinating fish. For those who want to combine with other places on your diving trip to Indonesia and Sulawesi, this is a perfect place.
East Sulawesi
De central parts of Sulawesi they also have a lot to offer and there is also fantastic diving here. The east side is most accessible October – June and. It is normally windy and rarely available for diving during July – September normally more than on single dive sites. Here you will find much of the amazing wildlife that Indonesia is famous for but the area is not that well known yet. Nevertheless, diving here is possible at individual diving resorts.
West Sulawesi
The west side of Sulawesi, opposite Borneo, has a lovely mix of marine life from Sulawesi and Borneo and offers very nice diving all year round. Although the period December - February can be quite rainy and windy. Also, this part of Sulawesi is not particularly developed for diving yet, but the diving is very good. The easiest way to get to the central parts of Sulawesi is by flight from Jakarta, but Bali or Manado are also possible.

Sulawesi is a big island and you can go here on a diving trip many times in your diving career and places like Bunaken, Lembeh, Bangka and more make it a safe bet to experience very good diving.
