For many who go on their first diving trip, a liveaboard in Thailand is not entirely unusual. Diving in Thailand has been a giant industry for some years now. It was for a long time the most popular country to learn to dive and get a diving certificate. The marine life and corals here are not in the same class as, for example, the Philippines and Indonesia. But here there are still a lot of fish, corals, wrecks and various animals with no backbone. It is also relatively common to see large animals such as zebra sharks, nurse sharks, whale sharks and manta rays under your live board.
A liveaboard in Thailand is a wonderful diving trip in the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean and the best way to experience diving in Thailand. Out at the islands a bit off the coast with places like Similan islands, Phi Phi Islands, Surin Islands, Richelieu rock, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang and more, visibility is better than at the small islands or places close to the coast and it marine life is significantly richer. At some of these places it is relatively common to see whale sharks and manta rays. Other large fish are, for example, zebra sharks and nurse sharks. The zebra shark is stunningly beautiful and is often seen along the Thai west coast. Sometimes you also see various reef sharks and even turtles are quite common.
If you want to combine and have a few nice days on land in connection with your diving trip and liveaboard, it is good to combine both before and after your diving trip. You can stay in Thailand or build on your program to travel further. As an example, you can go to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Singapore or even Hong Kong or Korea. Contact us for your wishes, we will make a proposal for that as well.
