Who is Jennie?

I was completely captivated by the underwater world, its inhabitants and mystery when I started diving in the dark Baltic Sea 16 years ago, and that feeling continues to this day. I dive as often as I can to discover and learn more. My curiosity is never quenched and I'm just as happy diving in tropical warm waters as I am at home in slightly more challenging and colder conditions.

I live in Sweden's "diving mecca" Lysekil, to get closer to the sea and have easier access to some of Sweden's most species-rich diving waters. To improve my knowledge of life under the surface and opportunities to take better photos, I have studied marine biology, fish ecology and fish physiology. My great interest has led me to a lot of experience in terms of diving and photography and I have had the opportunity to travel a lot and have worked as a diving guide in exciting countries such as Thailand, Egypt and the Canary Islands.

One of my absolute favorite destinations is the Philippines with its diversity of species and fantastic opportunities to study the smallest marine animals up close, either through a lens or just with the naked eye. I have spent many months around this lovely country and know the country, the diving and the people well.

I have been chairman of the Swedish Sports Diving Association's UV-Photo committee. There we work to develop rules for competitions, materials for courses and organize workshops. Together with my colleagues, I have had the pleasure of organizing the Swedish Championship in UV photography, been a judge in the Nordic Championship and in the photo competition "Wreck in picture" and team captain for the Swedish national team in the World Championship in Turkey.

Over the years I have met divers and photographers who have inspired me, guided and helped me develop and that is exactly what I hope to do for others.
