Signe Selven – diving enthusiast

Who is Signe?

Signe Selven is a trained lawyer, but turned her hobby into a job in 2007. She is currently the director of Havsport Dykkersenter in Trondheim, Technical diver and PADI Course Director. For 16 years, she has trained divers at various levels and seen the joy, safety and experience they have gained on their dives and dive trips.

Signe has always loved being in water. She was active in swimming for 12 years and is a swimming teacher. She currently runs lifesaving and helicopter evacuation courses as an adjunct to diving courses.

Signe has been organizing diving trips around the world for 15 years. She loves traveling to the arctic regions and has dived off both Greenland and Svalbard. Otherwise, the excursions have gone to many of the world's most beautiful diving destinations in the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean and the North Sea. In addition to diving, she is fond of high mountains and skiing expeditions, and she has crossed right across Greenland and as far as all of Svalbard.

The world has a lot to offer and diving is amazing wherever you are. If it is in cold water, you have to take a little more clothes and resort to simple tricks to enjoy the diving. But the feeling of lying on an iceberg, looking at the beautiful light and almost untouched nature is very special.

She has also done a lot of diving in South Africa. Here you will find the finest soft corals and fascinating wildlife. Those trips can easily be combined with exciting experiences on land.
