The safari "South Central" involves a lot of exciting dives as you cruise through the south and central Maldivian atolls. This route offers an incredible variation and very high class diving.

The trip begins with some lovely macro diving in the southern Male atoll, as well as the Kuda Giri Wreck and one of the most challenging dives in the area, the Kandooma Thila that always offers a thrill.

Up next is the Vaavu atoll and its famous night dive at Alimatha. The theatrics between the sharks and the stingrays at this dive site is something you will recall for a very long time. Meemus atoll offers plenty of fish life and mantas, as well as beautiful wall dives. Continuing south the focus remains on sharks with Thaa atoll where hammerheads and whale sharks are known to make their appearance.

The journey ends at Laamu atoll, a spot that includes exciting drift dives in the canals, where rays, mantas, hammerheads, whale sharks and reef sharks like to spend their time.

The safari route "South Central" is filled with exciting, and quite a few challenging dives. Divers with an experience and an appreciation for strong currents will highly enjoy themselves.
