About Malta & Gozo

Diving in Malta is of European top class with visibility that often reaches 25-30 meters, and with water temperatures during the summer at 25 degrees. The strategic placing in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea means that there are a lot of wrecks from both the First and Second World Wars - bombers, hunting ships, submarines, subcontractors and hunters among many others.

Diving around the main island of Malta offers a mix of wrecks, caves and wall dives, and there are dive sites for beginners as well as technical divers. In addition to wrecks from primarily the First and Second World Wars, new boats are continuously sunk intended for divers - an example is the famous Um El Faroud, which offers amazing dive experiences. It is a 120 meter long intact oil tanker located between 16 to 35 meters depth.
