What is an ambassadorial trip?

Scuba Travel's ambassador trips are specially designed diving trips where you travel with and are led by one of our knowledgeable ambassadors. All experts and knowledgeable in their respective fields. These trips combine high-quality diving with workshops, lectures and practical sessions in subjects such as underwater photography, marine biology, ecology and free diving. The ambassadors also have extensive travel experience and can help on site and provide valuable tips and ideas for future trips.

Our ambassadors

Our ambassadors are not only passionate divers – they are also, as mentioned above, specialists in their respective fields. Among them you will find, for example, award-winning underwater photographers, marine biologists, former world champions in freediving, experts in diving medicine and committed environmentalists. What they all have in common is a desire to inspire, educate and create strong and memorable experiences together with you and the rest of the group. They give lectures, provide personal coaching, lead workshops – and dive together with you and the group the entire trip. In other words: you are not just traveling to a new diving destination, you are traveling together with knowledge.

Recurring trips

Our ambassadors usually travel a couple or sometimes several times a year. Many relationships are built during these trips and many divers choose to follow “their ambassador” again and again. We have seen practical examples of how participants who have been on trips about UV photography have taken the step to compete internationally. We have seen relationships between people grow and where people continue to travel together or even where couples have found each other during these trips. Ambassador trips are not just about learning more and diving. It is just as much about finding relationships with other people and becoming part of a fantastic community.

Ambassador trips – popular trips with a special focus that many people book early.

These trips are often planned a long time in advance. Usually at least a year before departure but sometimes up to two or three years before you travel. The trips are to mixed destinations, often to places that have a certain focus. For example, Malapascua and its thresher sharks or the Red Sea and the Aarfen shark. Others can be South Africa and the Sardine Run, Christmas Island and the crab migration, or popular destinations that are often fully booked a long time in advance.
We have examples of ambassador trips that have been fully booked two or three years in advance, so the trips are extremely popular and appreciated. Most of these trips are completely unique and will never be done again. Because of our in-depth knowledge of when certain events and occurrences in nature occur, we always try to optimize the timing and locations of these trips together with our ambassadors.

Personal touch to the trip

Many who go on an ambassadorial trip also choose to extend their trip. Either by leaving earlier or by staying or making alternative stops along the way. The trip does not have to be completely static, but you who are accompanying can of course contact us to see if it is possible to tailor your trip and give it a personal touch. The foundation is laid, but you can spice up your trip if the technical conditions are there.
