Dauin, Philippines with Bent Christensen february 2021

Dauin is a small idyll and province in the central Philippines or Visayas as it is called here and is becoming increasingly popular with divers. With its idyllic location by the sea and a climate that is good all year round and on it an absolutely fantastic diving where everything is close by and also more and more activities on land, more restaurants this is a real gem

Marine ecology and UV photo tips -  You who are going on this trip will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the interaction in nature .. Ekolig Bent Christens is on the trip and will tell you more about what you and the other group participants will be have fantastic days of diving and relaxation and then all the accommodation is adjacent to the fantastic and large pool with a whole dive bar as a natural place to gather after today's dives or you live at a bungalow facing the sea not far from. A wonderful opportunity for groups of 8 or more people to experience social togetherness and relaxation.

Your accomodation - You will stay at Liquid Dumaguete resort. This is a small family resort with only 14 rooms in total and is a little secluded so there is peace and quiet. Yet close to town and nearby restaurants are easily reached by tricycle in a few minutes. The rooms are simply furnished but offer what you need to stay simple and well. All rooms have their own shower and toilet, air conditioning and a veranda outside where it is nice to relax for a while after the day's activities. It offers breakfast in the accommodation and there is also a restaurant, bar, massage, a large lovely pool and of course diving. There is also a pool table, darts boards and various simpler social games to spend time in the evenings unless the social company is not enough. The resort is not for those looking for luxury, the luxury of being here and diving but it is very charming and pleasant.

Bent has been on many group trips over the years and will tell you more about the interaction in nature for and against each other and when he is also a very good photographer he will be able to give valuable tips and ideas for taking better pictures. This is a great opportunity for those who want to learn more about interaction in nature and learn more about what it is you see when you enjoy it and even animals up on land are included in Bent's extensive knowledge.

Diving in Dauin, Philippines

Dauin just south of the city of Dumaguete on the island of Negros in central Visayas has become, and rightly so, one of the Philippines' most popular destinations for divers in recent years. Here is the world famous island of Apo Island and also the whale sharks In Oslob just north of southern Cebu has made the region known, but what is most famous here is the fantastic so-called muck diving. Large areas of sand and clay and indented here and there oases with corals and reefs and also some artificial reefs to increase the amount of fish and species richness. Here there are fishes of all possible sizes, colors and shapes, even hammerheads and threashersharks and reef sharks are sometimes seen, mainly out on Apo Island, but stingrays, eagle coats, mantas and other things are sometimes seen here.
The invertebrates, octopuses, nudibranchs, crustaceans and echinoderms dominate together with fungi, sea urchins and various corals or hives. The richness of the species is fantastic and all dive sites are relatively close so there are rarely long trips except to just Apo Island or Oslob. Diving is varied and different animals are more or less comfortable in different places, which is why one day is rarely the same, although at first glance it may seem like "Help what am I doing here". But with the help of experienced guides with accustomed eyes and knowledge of marine life you will be able to experience a lot of fun and exciting with a lot of strange animals that you may not even believe or knew existed.

Dauin is a real dive paradise and here you can actually go all year round as the weather is relatively stable and the area is very calm and quiet. For those of you who want to extend the journey either at the beginning or after Dauin, it is entirely possible and we will help you find good solutions for this.
