Experience Palau with Alex Dawson

Experience - Palau is Micronesia's most famous country (although it is not formally included in Micronesia) and is located about 650 km north of the equator. Here you can experience everything from caves and walls to large drop offs, and do not miss swimming among millions of (harmless) jellyfish in Jellyfish Lake. Everywhere you can enjoy the fantastic view and some of the world's best dive sites.

The weather is hot and humid (about 30° C all year round), and the flora and fauna are tropical, but Palau is best known for its 112 km long barrier reef that encloses spectacular coral reefs and a lagoon called a diver's paradise. Palau is also home to a unique phenomenon, Rock Islands. You can read more about Palau here.

Your accommodation - The cabins are designed so that they can be used with both double or single beds. The spacious dining room where you will enjoy all meals offers plenty of seating. The diving deck is perhaps the most spacious and comfortable you have experienced. S / Y Palau Siren is adapted for underwater photography with its specially built spaces for cameras and video equipment. She is built on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and you will not find another liveaboard boat in all of Micronesia that is as beautiful in the water. Since she was built by divers for divers, you can be sure that you have thought of all the needs a diver may have. In addition to the Liveaboard, you will stay in a number of well-selected hotels in Manila, Koror and Guam. Read more about your liveaboard here

Your Ambassador: Alex Dawson is one of the world's most hired underwater photographers today, also published in National Geographic. Alex has a long and solid education in diving both civilian and military, both open systems and closed with a focus on more technical diving. Alex has traveled a lot and works professionally as a photographer both in Sweden and abroad. You will be able to get many valuable tips and ideas about photography and destinations. Palau

In the middle of nowhere in the Pacific Ocean, just east of the Philippines and north of the huge island of New Guinea, lies a green little gem. Palau - or Belau. The country consists of about 200 islands, of which a handful are permanently inhabited. Here you will find fantastic diving and Palau is today one of the world's most famous diving destinations. Clear blue water, lots of fish, large sharks and rays you see frequently and many dive sites here are mentioned in every other sentence when those who have traveled a lot talk about their best dives or future dream destinations. Dropoffs, scuba diving, caves and beautiful reefs, but there are also historic wrecks and the famous jellyfish lake which is home to millions of jellyfish (which do not burn).

The liveaboard will take you to many of these fantastic dive sites and you will experience the wonderful deep blue waters and experience the fantastic marine life. Even on land, it is very beautiful and small green-clad islands protrude from the sea and gild the overall impression of paradise. The most famous islands Rock Islands are perhaps the country's most famous "photo objects" with their small islands scattered like a string of pearls in the middle of the sea.

Experience reef sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, wrecks, large shoals of barracuda and tuna and other pelagic species that can appear here at any time. Beautiful reefs, bottomless dropoffs and as icing on the cake you will dive with Alex Dawson who today is one of the world's perhaps best UV photographers and although cold and deep water is his specialty, he has previously been here on Palau and can give many tips on how to develop as a UV photographer and take better pictures. Take the chance to go on this 10-day live board and for those of you who want to extend with, for example, a few days stop in Yap or the Philippines, we will of course help you with that as well.
