Diving medicine with Hans Örnhagen. Seychelles in March 2025

Diving medicine with Hans Örnhagen to the Seychelles in March 2025.
Now it's time again for Diving medicine with Hans Örnhagen and this time the trip will go to the wonderful Seychelles instead of the Maldives as in previous years. The trip is scheduled to go in March 2025 and a maximum of 20 places are available for this trip. Seychelles is a real paradise as a destination and the trip will be added to the main island of Mahé which is the one with the most access to diving..
Diving trip to the Seychelles with the theme of diving medicine - This trip is mainly aimed at those who have a genuine interest and / or work with medical and physiological issues related to diving. A fantastic opportunity to educate yourself or develop and update your knowledge of research, treatment and prevention of problems associated with diving. Every day, Hans Örnhagen will, together with groups, lecture and discuss various topics in the field both theoretically and practically. For those of you who don't dive, there is an opportunity to go on the trip anyway and take part in the shore program. For doctors with EDTC qualification, the course provides a 5-year extension of the qualification.
You and the other group participants will have great days of training interspersed with relaxing diving and plenty of time for discussion.
Beautiful Seychelles
Your accommodation – You will stay at the Story hotel on the island of Mahé, which is also the capital island of the Seychelles. The resort is nestled in a wonderful area of Beau Vallon Bay, one of Mahé's most opulent neighborhoods, just 10 minutes from the Seychelles capital Victoria. Surrounded by the Morne mountain range just 5 minutes away and conveniently located 30 minutes from Seychelles International Airport.
Beau Vallon Beach spreads out before you; a 3 kilometer long beach with pristine white sand and warm water. Here you can swim throughout the year. Snorkeling is available out on the reef just 50 meters from the resort. The paradisiacal resort is known for its azure turquoise sea, chalky white beaches and lush surrounding greenery..
Who's going on the trip? - Our ambassador Hans Ornhagen will be along for the ride, offering theory and practice that can be applied to diving-related medical issues and situations. Over the years, Hans Örnhagen has gone on several trips with diving medicine as a theme.
Features
Diving in the Seychelles
The diving center is a short walk from the resort but a transfer is offered for those who wish. With over 75 dive sites available, Mahé is perhaps the most diverse place to dive in the Seychelles. The island is known for its mountain range below the surface of the water, which provides a unique geology. A large number of wrecks are also present and give the environment a different element.
Two of the best dive sites around the island are Port Launay Marine Park and Shark Bank. The marine park is a perfect area for beginners with its protective lagoons and shallow reefs but also offers exciting marine life for the more experienced diver. In addition, whale sharks are very fond of the area and are seen periodically.
Shark Bank is more suitable for slightly more advanced divers, as there are strong currents. Thanks to the often strong currents that attract larger pelagic species, here you can often meet reef sharks, whale sharks, rays, batfish, barracuda and yellow snapper to name a few
