Liveaboard in the Red Sea – Liveaboard in southern Egypt and the route “southern and St Johns”. A week on board a liveaboard in the Red Sea during the autumn is a truly wonderful experience many times and you come to a warmer climate and you come when there is often very good diving to experience larger animals. On board you have everything for a week of relaxation and enjoyable diving with food, rest and lots of diving. The Red Sea is for many the first diving trip and often an unforgettable adventure.
This trip we run without a group leader but that does not prevent you from having a really good trip with our staff and partners on site in Egypt. You will be met at the airport in Egypt and will be taken care of for the rest of your trip until you return and are about to travel home..
With a liveaboard and diving trip to southern Egypt you will experience amazing reefs and good chances to see large animals such as rays, sharks, dolphins, turtles and more. The chance to see large pelagic species is really good this time of year and of course you also have a very rich marine life in general.
Your accommodation – On your diving trip, you will stay aboard a large boat, SS Excellence. Here you have plenty of space, a large spacious dive deck, sun deck at the top, a wonderfully inviting salon and of course air conditioning in all cabins that offer plenty of space. Of course you have full board during the trip and Nitrox is included on board for those who are certified. This liveaboard has a strong focus on safety and safety procedures and offers one of the Red Sea's best boats.
Previous knowledge - You must/should have at least 50 logged dives and be PADI Advanced or equivalent for this tour. Because Brothers Islands is a marine park, the Egyptian authorities have imposed these requirements on all divers. Night diving is prohibited within the marine park. Combined with strong currents in the area, there are rarely more than three dives per day at Brothers.

This week is filled with diving on stunning reefs, dramatic dropoffs, good chances to see sharks and large pelagics as well as reef systems with tunnels and caves. Experience the amazing light show in this part of the Red Sea and be enchanted by the beautiful reefs and marine life.
St John's is a cluster of small reefs that often offer some of the most spectacular wildlife encounters in the Red Sea. Habili Ali Reef offers giant gorgonians and black coral. Grey Reef is home to grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, silvertip sharks and hammerhead sharks. Habili Gafaar offers diving with lots of soft corals swarming with snappers, butterflyfish and barracudas. To the north is St John's Cave, an area where shallow cracks open up into small caves and a fantastic play of light. – Take the chance and experience a magical week in the Red Sea as November darkness settles over the Nordics.
SS Excellence is a 34-meter long boat that can accommodate up to 24 guests in 12 double cabins. All cabins have their own bathroom and of course air conditioning. The salon is very spacious and is equipped with a TV, DVD and sound system. The dive deck offers plenty of space and there is also an inviting sun deck to relax on. On board Sea Serpent Excellence, nitrox is offered to you who are nitrox-certified divers.
Itinerary day by day
Day 1
Non-stop flight Gothenburg* to Hurghada including 15 kg *** checked baggage + hand luggage. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your liveaboard for check-in and dinner.
* Stockholm and Copenhagen are possible but different airlines, arrangements, times and prices may occur, contact us
*** Extra luggage weight can be purchased.
Day 1-8
7 nights on board with full board.
Early departure the first morning (Day 2) from port and out for diving
Day 2-7
Diving with up to 3-4 dives / day (Note a maximum of 3 dives / day in the marine parks)
Day 7
On the last day of diving, 2 dives are offered before going to port and a last night on board
Day 8
Check-out from the boat and transfer to the airport and flight home

Our program is only a preliminary plan that is influenced based on the external conditions that the weather gods reward us with. This means that we may have to move activities and dive sites to other days and also replace planned activities with alternatives if necessary. Some flight schedules may require 1 night before and/or 1 night after the liveaboard in Hurghada. We ask you to be flexible.
