Freediving in the Azores in September 2025
For those who want to experience the best diving in Bali and want to experience a lot, this tour is ideal to book. You get to the best and most famous dive sites in Bali and get to experience the variety of big and small and you also get to see more of Bali on land too. In addition to the amazing macro diving, there are also amazing reefs, steep rock walls and coral gardens with lots of marine life, fish and huge species richness. Here there are farts of all imaginable sizes, colors and shapes, even sometimes reef sharks, turtles, tuna, barracuda and other species are seen, but also stingrays, eagle rays, whale sharks and mola mola with luck. Mantas are pretty much guaranteed to see if the weather is ok to get out to Manta point at Nusa Penida.
The invertebrates, cephalopods, nudibranchs, crustaceans and echinoderms dominate together with sponges, sea urchins and various corals or sea urchins. The diversity of species is fantastic and all dive sites can be reached directly from land or by boat. The diving is varied and different animals thrive more or less well in different places, which is why one day is rarely the same as the next. But with the help of experienced guides with familiar eyes and knowledge of marine life, you will be able to experience a lot of fun and excitement with a variety of strange animals that you might not even have thought existed. The area around Tulamben is the most popular and diving tourism has grown a lot in recent years as there is so much to experience right here. Tulamben is undoubtedly the most popular area for diving today.
The Azores are truly a fantastic diving destination
Diving in the Azores in Portugal offers you, for example, wrecks, caves and volcanic formations. Among the marine life you can see manta rays, dolphins and - if you're lucky - lumpfish. The Azores are one of the best places in the world to see blue sharks. Here the chances are also good to see a whale shark during the season. Another popular activity is to go snorkelling with whales or just whale watching by boat. Also large shoals of mobulas or devil robes are common. Sometimes you may see one alone and sometimes tens or even hundreds may appear at the same time. An unforgettable experience.
It is also a good destination for divers who are interested in macro photography as there is plenty of small marine life, nudibranchs, squid, crustaceans and other things. Sometimes you also see turtles here in the clear waters and they even come here to lay eggs. Here you will find caves and dramatic rock formations, remains of wrecks and daring wall dives. Be prepared that it can be hot at times.
