Experience - Wreck diving Liveaboard in the Philippines with Coron and Apo reef. A diving trip with everything from wreck diving, liveaboard, macro diving, large animals and coral reefs. There are tons of places here and each place has a lot to offer, so you can go to the Philippines multiple times without having to do and experience the same thing again. On this diving trip We have put together two favourites. Partly Puerto Galera, which is perhaps the most famous place in the Philippines and which became the first real diving destination in the country. Coron is the diving mecca of the Philippines for wreck diving and you will come here for a few days during the tour to experience the wings of history below the surface.
A few days of wonderful relaxation at the resort with lots of mixed diving gets you ready to then go out to the northern parts of the Sulu Sea towards the fantastic Apo Reef. Don't confuse it with Apo Island located in Dauin, this is a completely different type of diving. Dramatic walls, sloping reefs and coral gardens with rich marine life and often large fish.
Combine reefs, macro, large animals and wrecks
Mantas, eagle rays, stingrays, reef sharks, thresher sharks, hammerhead sharks, whale sharks and much more are regularly seen here. Here you will experience the amazing diving of the Sulu Sea with amazing coral walls, sponges, black coral and gorgonians extending from steep rock walls, echinoderms, octopuses, crustaceans and an incredible variety of fish color and enliven this environment.
To make your liveaboard and diving trip really exciting, you then continue towards Coron in northern Palawan where you dive for a number of days on the large wrecks from the Second World War and if you are lucky you will be able to see dugongs. After the wrecks in Coron, the trip goes back to Puerto Galera.
Your accommodation – Accommodation in Puerto Galera is very good and the diving resort is a lovely oasis where you can relax between your dives. All rooms are nicely designed, large and spacious, air-conditioned and of course own showers and toilets and everything is embedded in tropical greenery. Puerto Galera, Apo reef and Coron, Philippines
Puerto Galera in the Philippines is beautifully situated by the sea and is surrounded by lushly vegetated mountains. It is considered one of the most beautiful but also most developed diving resort areas in the country. It started here with simple tourism. Locals accepted both local and foreign tourists as resident guests. Since then, tourism has flourished and developed. Over time, many hotels, resorts, inns, bars and restaurants have mushroomed in the area. Here you will still find good diving and at Verde Island you have fantastic coral reefs with a very rich marine life.
Apo Reef and Coron
The amazing reefs at Apo Reef are surprisingly little visited but in this marine park you will find some of the best preserved coral reefs in the Philippines. Along the dramatic walls and coral slopes, large fish and various species of manta rays and rays often patrol. Stingrays, marble rays, spiny lobster and reef sharks are common. Angelfish, butterfly fish, rainbow runners, moorish idols, fusiliers, jacks, snappers and sweetlips follow you as you swim around the reefs.
At a majority of the dive sites you can also see large trevallies, tuna, barracuda and gray and white tip reef sharks, while manta rays and eagle rays are ephemeral visitors. Green and hawkbill turtles are the most common turtles residing in the national park. Groupers and wrasse are often seen among the reefs and on a few occasions guests have witnessed hammerheads and silvertip sharks. The wrecks at Coron from the Second World War are a powerful experience and here you will visit and dive several of them during your liveaboard and diving trip.
