Diving trip with Bent Christensen to Romblon in the Philippines.
Date 02 - 14 March 2025. Price from SEK 31
Book early - (no later than January 31, 2024) - and we offer an upgrade of your diving to a maximum of 2 divers / guide

Experience - Romblon, which is located almost in the middle of the Philippines and is a truly magical diving destination. Few places in the world can offer as many unusual and odd species as right here. Many come here again and again to experience all the strange, odd and unusual animals that are seen here on a regular basis. Nudings, crustaceans and different species of fish, you can make a long list of species with the opportunity to see here. The diving mainly takes place from a traditional Filipino boat, a so-called bangka (which means boat), but it is also possible to go hunting directly from the resort. We have booked a program of 16 dives in advance.

More diving, night diving, bonfire and black water diving can of course be booked on site. There are a maximum of 4 divers per guide and there are really few places in the world where you can experience so many new things. You can see up to three different species of pygmy seahorse on one dive if you're lucky. Or why not several different species of Melibe nudibranchs or butterfly nudibranchs during one and the same dive.

A diving-free day does not have to be spent on the beach, but there is an opportunity to take a trip out on the island and to experience Bonbon beach and the local marble market is probably a must.

Marine ecology, interaction in nature and UV photo - Our ambassador is coming on the trip Bent Christensen be included. Bent is a very talented nature and underwater photographer and also an ecologist. Bent has traveled a lot in Southeast Asia and knows a lot about the marine life here. For those who are curious about different species and the interaction between different species in nature, you have the world's chance to get answers to your questions.

Your accommodation - In Romblon, you stay at a small, simple family-run resort on the island of Romblon. The rooms are deluxe or Ocean Front Bungalow (with supplement) The rooms are comfortable and offer their own shower and toilet as well as air conditioning. We have 4 beds in deluxe and 10 beds in Ocean Front Bungalow available. During this trip, you will be here away from mass tourism in a paradise for strange and unusual animal species. Filippi Erna

You begin your journey by flying to Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and here you will take out your luggage and go through immigration to then proceed to the city of Batangas for further transportation by ferry to Romblon. Here you have full board included during the stay and a diving package with 16 dives is pre-booked. After 11 nights of accommodation and hopefully lots of new experiences and filled with new knowledge, we will make our way back to Manila to rebook an international flight and travel back to Scandinavia.
During your diving you will have the chance to experience a lot such as frogfish, various species of pipefish, scorpion fish, crustaceans, nudibranchs, moray eels, octopuses, turtles, beautiful reefs and lots of other fish. Come along to what I call a bit of the unknown or not yet exploited Philippines, Romblon is a magical and not so easily accessible destination so book in time. The diving is really exciting, and the opportunities to see new animal species you have not experienced before every dive are very good!

Itinerary - Day by day

Day 1
We leave Scandinavia and fly to Manila in the Philippines.*
* A tip/recommendation is to go another day earlier and spend a night in Manila.
That night is quite nice after a long flight and you have a chance to get some sleep and rest and adjust better to the time zone.
Many appreciate this night, which takes place directly at the airport in a good hotel.
The flights that land in the morning are suggestions to reduce the number of days on the trip, but those flights are few in number.

Day 2
Arrival in Manila in the morning and transfer to ferry. The ferry leaves around 17.00

Day 3
Arrival around 01.00 in the morning in Romblon, transfer to the resort
Diving starts after lunch

Day 3 - 12
You stay in shared Deluxe rooms or Ocean Front Bungalow (with supplement) where full board is included. Here you will dive every day in Romblon with Bent where you will experience everything that this fantastic place has to offer. The package includes 16 pre-booked dives including tank, weights, guide and boat. Marine park fees are added on site. More diving, night diving, bonfire and black water can be booked on site.

Day 12
In the evening there will be a transfer to the ferry that leaves around 22.00 p.m.

Day 13
Arrival around 07.30 in the morning and transfer to Manila where you will arrive around 10.00. Time for a journey home or continued adventure for those of you who wish to extend.
NOTE that extension must be booked before we arrange the international flight for you.

Day 14
Back in Scandinavia.

Please note!
Our program is only a preliminary plan that is influenced based on the external conditions that the weather gods reward us with, possible flight changes or other external circumstances. This means that we may have to move activities and dive sites to other days and also replace planned activities with alternatives if required. We ask you to be flexible.
