Aquaventure Maldives in the southern Maldives, south of the Equator, is one of the country's perhaps least discovered atolls, Addu. Here, several islands are connected by bridges so you can actually cycle between them, something different from other parts of the country. In addition, the atoll is quite unique as you can always dive regardless of the weather. The atoll is known for its large fish and perhaps most of all for its manta rays which are here all year round. On one of the islands is a really good guesthouse that is not that big so it is personal and the staff is very service-minded.
At the Equatorial Divers Lodge on Feydhoo Island there are a total of 10 double rooms and as a complement there is also the True Sunset Beach House with 7 more rooms on Maradhoo Island. Breakfast and three dives a day are included in your diving package, sea flights from and to Male airport and transfers are also included.
You live simply but it is cozy and personal. There is an inhouse pool to lie and laze by and relax in. It is nice to go out to the islands by bike and look around so there is always something to see and do even when you are not diving. The southern Maldives is not as discovered and dived yet as the other parts further north. This makes the experience here a little different and you will not have many tourists around you.
Situated in Feydhoo, less than 1 km from Gan Beach, Equatorial Divers Lodge features express check-in and check-out and free WiFi throughout the property. This property has family rooms and also offers a terrace. The property offers a 24-hour front desk, a shared lounge and currency exchange for guests. At the guest house, all rooms are equipped with a desk and each room has air conditioning and a private bathroom. The property offers laundry services as well as business facilities such as fax and photocopying. Equatorial Divers Lodge is the only guest house in Feyedhoo that has an inhouse pool for its guests.

The southernmost Addu atoll in the Maldives is very different from the other atolls. Here there are only four channels into the atoll and this means that it is always possible to dive. There are always places without waves and strong wind. Addu atoll is known for large marine life. It is probably the only place in the Maldives that can offer manta rays at its grooming stations all year round. In addition to the mantas that have made Gan and Addu atoll famous, there are also plenty of sharks here. With a bit of luck, both tiger and hammerhead sharks can pass over the reef or out of the blue. Plus plenty of reef sharks, sailfish, nurse sharks and various rays.
Just 15 minutes from the dive center is also the Maldives' largest wreck, The British Loyalty, from World War II. She rests at a depth of about 30 meters. With her 140-meter-long hull, fully covered in coral and sponges, it is a really impressive dive. All dive sites are within 90 minutes of the dive center, but most are much closer. The dive center offers courses from beginners up to Divemaster. You can do up to three dives per day. Nitrox is available for those who are certified. Addu and Gan are truly unique. Perhaps the best diving in the Maldives and here the guides do everything they can to ensure that you are satisfied with your dive.
For those who want to see something different in the Maldives, this atoll is definitely worth a visit. And for those who like big fish, this is perhaps one of the best places to dive in the Maldives today.
