Dive center - Easy Diving

Easy diving offers diving near Coron Town. The dive sites are reached within a 20 to 30 minute boat ride from Easydiving Coron Diveshop at Westown Bayview Tripst. Usually you do 2-tank dives by motorboat or local "Banka Boats". The dive sites are varied but with a lot of focus on the known wrecks from the Second World War.

History:
On the morning of September 24, 1944 at 05:50, 96 Grumman F6F Hellcat fighters and 24 Curtiss SB2C Helldiver dive bombers took off from their American Navy boats towards Coron / Palawan to attack the remnants of the Japanese Navy’s “Manila Fleet”. The ships were hiding in the secluded and calm waters of Coron Bay. During the attack, the Americans sank most of these ships in a short time. Only one ship, the “Kamoi”, managed to escape, but was badly damaged, to Hong Kong. Today, these wrecks, which are covered in coral, create a world-class “Scuba Dive Destination”. Divers from all over the world come here to watch the incredibly rich marine life.

Up to 3 dives a day

If there is nothing else planned, you can do up to 3 dives during the day to the shipwrecks. You usually start at 8am from Easydiving Coron's dive shop at Westown Bayview Tripst. You will then return there around 17:00. On average, it takes just over an hour by boat to reach the first wreck dive site. Examples of wrecks are: Morazan Maru, Olympia Maru, Kogyu Maru, Iraku Maru, Akitsushima, Okikawa Maru, East Sangat wreck, Lutsong gun boat, Skeleton wreck, Nanshin Maru and Kyokuzan Maru. There are also many other dive sites such as Barracuda lake, Cathedral cave, Malpadon reef, Alcatraz reef, Siete Pecados, Twin Peaks and CYC island.

The dive sites are often also good for snorkelling and beginners. Other dive sites are for more experienced divers.

The diving center also offers other activities such as:
Boat trips with picnics, swimming and snorkelling
Day trip to Busuanga with the opportunity to see dugongs
Day trip to Calauit Island Safari Park. There is the opportunity to see zebras, antelopes and many other African animals. They were brought to the Philippines by the wife of former President Ferdinand Marcos in the seventies.
Kayaks and SUP boards for rent to explore the surrounding Mangrove areas. Motorbikes that you can rent to explore the island are also available.
