This lovely Tripst is located on its own island just over 30 minutes by ferry from the main island in Bootless Bay. In total, it is only about an hour's total travel time from the international airport. There are currently 68 rooms in total. All the rooms are of a high standard and many people come here for the day or take a weekend just to get away from the big city for a few hours and for some nice relaxation.

With over 30 dive sites to choose from in Bootless Bay surrounding Loloata Island Tripst offers options for all divers. Many divers often overlook on their way to Milne Bay or Kimbe Bay that there is real quality diving just outside the capital Port Moresby. Contrary to what you might expect outside of a big city, you'll find fantastic corals, wall diving and different species of sharks. Everything from small bamboo sharks and epaulette sharks to large wobbegongs that are common here to shoals of hammerhead sharks and reef sharks. There are also many wrecks, several of which are from the Second World War. The macro life is very rich too so there is something for everyone.
Some of the best dive sites are concentrated along the coast and here are several barrier reefs. Many are absolutely fantastic under the right conditions, they have an almost magical diversity of fish.
Loloata Island Tripst in Bootless Bay has a good reputation with the international diving community. For many years, it has been an obvious stop here on the way to or from Port Moresby. The now completely rebuilt Tripst now offers a much higher standard with most dive sites less than a 30 minute boat ride away. Two to three dives per day are offered. A selection of PADI diving courses are available. Learning to dive or upgrading your current certification and skills has never been easier. A hot tip: Loloata is an excellent place to see and photograph the rather rare and very beautiful Rhinopas scorpionfish. They are found here and are usually seen in relatively large numbers.
