Scuba Junkie Penida is located on the north side of the island and is surrounded by white sandy beaches. Just a few minutes walk away you can experience amazing sunsets directly from the beach. The resort is built in modern traditional Balinese style, with lots of recycled materials and wood from the resort's own land. You are greeted by an open reception area which is also a great gathering point to share stories from the day's dives or fill in your logbook. Or why not just enjoy a cold refreshing drink at the end of the day. When you are not diving you can relax in one of the hammocks under the large acacia trees or take a dip in the pool.
The resort offers everything from budget-friendly dormitories to private rooms, all with private bathrooms, AC and a small balcony overlooking the garden.
The resort is located just a 2-minute drive from Banjar Nyuh harbor in a central area close to several restaurants, sandy beaches and mini markets. The diving packages include breakfast and lunch on the boat during the diving days. In the evenings you can explore the island's many restaurants, you will find everything from local to western food. Scuba Junkie Penida is a PADI 5 IDC Dive Resort* that offers high quality and safety for both recreational divers and PADI course participants.
Their professional team always prioritizes your safety above all else. Groups are never larger than 4 divers per guide and your guide is always a PADI divemaster or higher. Groups are put together by experience level to ensure you get the most out of each dive. Scuba Junkie also places great importance on having the least possible impact on marine life. With thorough briefings on how to get the most out of each dive site and how to follow proper protocols and respect the underwater environment.
Nusa Penida and its sister islands (Lembongan and Ceningan) offer fantastic coral reefs, fun current dives and the chance to see manta rays all year round. If you come during the right season, there is also a good chance of seeing Mola Mola (sunfish or lumpfish). The area is suitable for both beginners and divers in training, as well as more challenging dives for experienced divers who want a little adventure. Turtles are seen daily and if you are lucky, you may also see reef sharks, rays, giant trevallys, tuna and sometimes even whale sharks, dolphins and other larger species during your dives.
