Transfers - How do I get to my boat once I've arrived?
Scuba Travel works with very professional companies that arrange meet & greets and transfers.
After you collect your luggage, our representative will escort you either to your transfer or all the way to the boat, and provide you with important information you may need. When it's time to leave your liveaboard, our representative will be there to take you to the airport, or to your hotel if you have booked this. Then you will also receive information about when your transfer back to the airport leaves on the day of your return journey.
In Egypt, Scuba Travel has a representative who will meet you at the airport, help you with visas and further through passport control.
Where does my liveaboard depart in Egypt?
The boat departs from Hurghada if you are going on a northern trip (Classic cruise, Wrecks & Reefs).
If you are going on a southern trip (St Johns, Simply the Best, Brothers), the boat departs from Port Ghalib, Marsa Alam or Hamata, which is about 300 km south of Hurghada.
The transfer to Port Ghalib takes about four hours by car (about six hours to Hamata). Our representative can tell you where you can buy water or snacks before you leave.
