Hanna grew up in Jönköping and has been living in Grebbestad, Bohuslän for a few years now. Hooked on diving she did while backpacking in Southeast Asia for the first time in 2016 where she did her OW at Malapascua in the Philippines and ADOW at the Gili Islands. Since then, she has managed several long trips in, among other places, Asia and took her Rescue in Sodwana bay, South Africa. Hanna's recent trip to the Philippines and Dauin provided a lot of inspiration and can now speak warmly about one of our most popular dive destinations.
Hanna has worked at Scuba travel since June 2022 and before that had an internship for 6 months. Hanna's role is travel advisor mainly to individual clients, diving centers, diving clubs and some administration. Hanna sometimes goes on our group trips as a bond, diving buddy and as an inspiration for future diving trips.
Moa Thim Virenhem did her first dives in Cyprus when she was 12 years old and fell in love after her first breath. After that, the number of dives quickly increased and at 19 she did her Divemaster training in Malaysia. Shortly after that, she also did her instructor course. Moa then spent 5 years in Southeast Asia where she worked as an instructor and assistant manager at a dive center in Indonesia. Now Moa is back on Gothenburg soil again but can't give up diving and today works full-time as a travel designer at Scuba Travel.
Moa started working at Scuba Travel at the turn of the year 2024 and works primarily with sales and social marketing.
During Annette's upbringing in Östra Frölunda, she developed an early interest in the world beyond her hometown. This led to her spending several years in England for academic studies, where she also obtained her OW certificate. As part of her university project, she participated as a volunteer in a marine conservation program on the island of Koh Tao in Thailand. MAOW and Rescue courses were conducted through her brother, who at the time ran a diving center in Borås.
Annette has worked at Scuba travel since January 2024 and works as a travel advisor, booking all flights and helping with administration.
Per is an experienced diver and traveler with a great interest in just this. Very interested in geography and biology. Started diving in the early 90s and has visited more than 80 countries privately and through his job. Per now lives in Batangas in the Philippines where he has the opportunity to maintain diving and also help others with arranging and organizing good trips. Sometimes he also goes on group trips and assists. Per has worked with diving full-time since the mid-90s as well as an instructor with his own diving school and with diving trips. Through his job, he has been spoiled to travel and has seen and experienced many places in the world. With his great interest in biology and geography, he combines utility with pleasure, and today Per is probably the most experienced and well-travelled diving tour operator in Sweden. To date, he has visited around 80 countries and dived in most of them. Per now lives on the island of Luzon a few hours south of Manila, the capital of the Philippines, where he can help you and others visit places and hopefully experience what he himself was able to do and more.
After thousands of dives over the years, it is still relaxing and fun to get below the surface and to see new species that he has not seen before is total happiness and the dream is to get a picture of them to immortalize the moment. In addition, the opportunity to spend time meeting people from all over the world and experiencing new countries and places means that benefit and pleasure are combined.
Per helps Scuba Travel where he both puts together individual trips and group trips as well as various administrative behind the scenes and relieves and provides support to the team in Sweden.

Environmental commitment, climate neutral, climate compensated
Our environmental commitment has been ongoing since 2017, when our internal operations became completely climate neutral. From January 2019, 100% climate compensation is always included for all our customers' trips with international flights. You can read more about it here.
Our environmental commitment has meant that we have chosen a climate-neutral internal work since 2017 and we have climate-compensated all our customers' international flights since 2019.
We at Scuba Travel, like all companies in Intoit Travel Group does not leave it up to you and all customers to take responsibility for the climate and environment. When you as a customer buy a trip, event or other service from a company in the Intoit Travel Group, climate compensation is always included in the price.
Our environmental work is about taking long-term responsibility in our daily work, in both environmental and social issues, but also to support projects in the areas we work with. Our main focus is to offset the CO2 that our companies and their operations give rise to. We do this by climate compensating not only all air travel but also for the CO2 that hotels, land transport and meals give rise to.
Scuba Travel - Climate Neutral Company
As a diver, you are probably, just like us here at Scuba Travel, very concerned about our nature. After all, we constantly experience the wonderful world beneath the surface, and know that it is one of the best places in the world to visit!
Unfortunately, it is the case that the earth's average temperature is rising, which is a direct effect of human activity here, including through increased carbon dioxide emissions but also the devastation of large forest areas that previously absorbed large amounts of carbon dioxide. Aviation today accounts for 3% of man's total CO2 emissions and in Sweden aviation accounts for 4-5% of CO2 emissions (Source LFV.se), but the proportion is predicted to increase sharply in the next 15 years. Measured per passenger kilometer, flying emits more CO2 than any other means of transport. So what can we do to help slow global warming and minimize CO2 emissions from aviation? In fact, much can be done to offset these emissions and improvements are constantly being made to reduce emissions from air traffic.
Our projects
Internally at Scuba Travel, all activities that employees do in the company in the form of business trips, consumption of materials, electricity and heating in the office are fully climate-compensated from 2017. The climate compensation is done in collaboration with South Pole and the projects we support are the Paradigm project in Kenya and REDD+ Forest Protection in Zimbabwe. These projects are close to our hearts, so please read more about them below!
The Paradigm Project enables the distribution of thousands of efficient wood stoves and clean water technology to various Kenyan communities. Families now need less wood fuel for cooking and water supply, and the strain on the surrounding forests is reduced. By replacing traditional cooking stoves with locally made, efficient stoves, fuel use is reduced by about 50% and toxic emissions are reduced by up to 70%. By distributing these modern stoves, the Paradigm project generates household savings of about 15% – money that is instead spent on food, school fees and other necessities. The project also promotes increased health through improved indoor air quality, which significantly reduces the number of cases of respiratory diseases and pneumonia. Safe water filters and public water dispensers also lead to the prevention of waterborne diseases. Finally, the Paradigm project also creates employment opportunities and economic gains, not least for women who save a lot of time that would otherwise be spent collecting firewood.
REDD+ stands for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation, which includes reducing deforestation and forest degradation, conserving forests, and conserving and increasing carbon storage in forests. The Kariba REDD+ project involves conserving approximately 785,000 hectares of forest and wildlife. The area is located on the southern shore of Lake Kariba, near the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The project connects four different national parks and eight safari reserves, which provides protection for several endangered species such as elephant, lion and hippopotamus. This project is community-based and administered by four different rural districts. The districts are actively working to improve the living conditions of the residents in the districts by, among other things, building new, better roads and developing health clinics, as well as ensuring that more people have access to clean water. The project is certified by VCS, CCBA.
