Argo Liveaboard Cocos Island
Currently not available as the boat is chartered by National Geographic
Argo Liveaboard in Cocos Island, Costa Rica has done hundreds of diving expeditions over the years. Today, she has developed into a perfect blend of luxury and utility. This is a 39 meter vessel with global reach and is intended as the ultimate platform for its own submarine DeepSee which can go down to a depth of 450 meters. In addition to being capable of being operated by remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), Argo offers heavy lifting capabilities, unmatched stability and plenty of deck space for any project. Long-term trips with multiple tasks are her specialty. DeepSee will literally take you to a new dimension – to the edge of light.
Argo is a photographer's and videographer's dream, with individual gear lockers, private storage compartments for cameras/flashes with 110 and 220 AC. There are dual flushing tanks for cameras and even a take-off and landing site for drones. It is no surprise that she has long been the vessel of choice for National Geographic's Pristine Seas expeditions.
On board you have nine cabins, all of which can be converted with bunk beds if necessary. On board, you are served fantastic food and that includes full board, of course, as well as beer and soft drinks. Out on the deck you can enjoy sun or shade as desired. One to two land tours are usually offered provided permission is granted, but when and if you go ashore you may miss a dive.
Comfortable diving with small boats
Two comfortable 24-foot boats serve as tenders to transport divers to and from the dive sites. They quickly take up to 11 divers per boat to any location within an extended radius of the mother ship. The boats are fully equipped with VHF radio and portable GPS. A T-roof and rigid bow guard are also fitted to these boats for your convenience. They perform ship-to-shore transport, transport divers to remote locations and any other imaginable recreational or support task. Twelve crew members are on board and they are educated and trained to go above and beyond to take care of you and other guests' every need.
Argo is a fantastic experience and completely unique live board which offers exciting diving and diving trips to the amazing Cocos Island in the Pacific Ocean. Getting to Cocos Island takes a day by boat. So when you get back to port after your dive is done, you can fly straight home if you wish. You can also extend your diving trip and vacation of course and continue in Costa Rica. Contact us for more information and booking.
