North and Brothers Egypt, liveaboard and diving trip to the Red Sea

North and Brothers is a diving safari in Egypt that really suits you who want to enjoy wreck diving. You will have the opportunity to dive on some of the world's most famous wrecks combined with beautiful reefs and a rich underwater life. Just as the tour sounds, it is diving in the northern Red Sea that applies here and the tour starts from Hurghada. Get liveaboard tours and diving trips to Egypt are probably as famous as this diving safari

Depending on the weather and winds, the North and Brothers tour in Egypt may look a little different, but as a rule, your first dive site is the horseshoe-shaped reef of Shaab El Erg. It is typical of the reefs you will dive and experience during your liveaboard trip. The reef has a wonderful coral garden and dolphins often swim past here. The dolphins you can usually see above the surface from your boat but sometimes also below the surface. Gubal Island is also suitable for night diving as the island offers a good and protected environment.

After a short cruise through Gubalsundet, you will arrive at the most famous wreck in the Red Sea, the Thistlegorm. One of the world's perhaps most famous wrecks, which many divers rank in the top 10 in the world's top list of wrecks that simply must be experienced. This is a dive you don't want to miss. If you're really lucky, even dolphins can pass by here.

Thistlegorm is a truly impressive WWII British ship with a cargo full of ammunition and vehicles. She was to deliver material to the British troops in North Africa. However, she was sunk by the German Luftwaffe and is now 30 meters deep. Hopefully it is possible to do a night dive here a little depends on currents, weather and the divers experience.

Further towards the Brothers Islands

The Brothers Islands National Park is located approximately 95 km from El Quesir and consists of two underwater mountains rising from the depths of the sea. Brothers Islands offers fantastic wall diving. With its steep walls covered in colorful soft corals, it is a magical experience and perhaps the Red Sea's best diving site in Egypt. A large amount and variety of marine and pelagic species are attracted here. Large tunas, barracudas and snappers are often seen swimming along the walls. Sometimes they are joined by hammerhead sharks, silky sharks, albacore sharks and manta rays that hover around the underwater mountains. If you are really lucky, you may even see the more unusual thresher shark and whale shark.

For those who love wrecks, Big Brother offers the ship Aida II and the freighter Numidia. Both of these wrecks are covered in both hard and soft corals and here there are plenty of gray reef sharks circling them. After your visit to Brothers, the boat turns back towards Hurghada.

Note: As Brothers Islands is a marine park, the Egyptian authorities have required all divers to have at least 50 logged dives and be PADI Advanced Open Water divers or equivalent. Night diving is prohibited within the marine park. Combined with strong currents in the area, there are rarely more than three dives per day at Brothers. North and Brothers is one of Egypt's best liveaboard tours for those of you who like wrecks, as I said, but also for those of you who like to photograph and experience big fish.

The Northern Red Sea tours in Egypt including North and Brothers go by many names and the tours are often very similar. Depending on the season, weather and liveaboard operator, the tours may be called differently but the content is often quite similar.
