Bligh Water is also known as Vatu-I-Ra Passage
Many divers and guests come to Volivoli because of its proximity to Bligh Water, also known as the Vatu-I-Ra Passage. It is a protected area known for its richness and diversity of marine life and is the best diving area in Fiji. The modern diving facility is the most advanced in the South Pacific in terms of building, structure and equipment and the compressor room is world class. Here are four compressors with Nitrox. All dive boats are custom built.
The staff is fully insured, trained in first aid and life saving. They do regular exercise as well. Almost all guides have grown up in and around these waters. From a young age, they fished with spears, bamboo poles and swam here several times a day throughout their lives. They really know the places like the back of their hand.
So whether it's your first time diving, you're ready to get certified or you want to master a specialty, all levels of PADI and SSI certifications are here. Here are courses from your first dive to becoming an instructor.
Lots of dive sites
For those of you who are more experienced divers, there are a handpicked selection of just over 50 incredible dive sites. Most of the best spots are no more than 20 minutes by boat from Volivoli Beach. Some of Ra Diver's most popular locations are located in the fascinating Vatu i ra passage. These sites are a mix of walls, bommies and stream dives, all of which are full of life and colour. Places like Black magic mountain, Mellow yellow and Instant replay will soon be etched into your memory forever! For those looking for a real kick, "Breathtaker" is a deep reef dive where you can see an incredible amount of large fish, whitetips, blacktips, whalenecks and gray reef sharks.
Wreck diving in Fiji
Papuan Explorer is a popular wreck dive located at a depth of 20 meters and is Fiji's largest and most accessible wreck and is full of marine life.
Ovalau offers an exciting 55-meter dive into a rolling car ferry that sank on August 23, 2003. Nasi yalodina is a wreck that sank in 2001.
