Coron MO2 Westown Lagoon
Coron MO2 Westown Lagoon is across the road near Coron Westown Resort. However, this hotel is a bit more luxurious, like 4*. The hotel has slightly fewer guests than its sister hotel and they offer you and other guests one of the best and most sought after accommodations in Coron, Palawan. The hotel is approximately 25 minutes' drive from the airport. It is also only 5 minutes outside Coron center. The accommodation offers tranquility and exclusivity while surrounded by natural forest and mountain areas that allow for perfect relaxation and vacation. There is a lovely outdoor pool, cafe, restaurant and bar here. It is close to town and restaurants which makes it convenient. It gives you the opportunity to experience a bit more too.
The hotel also offers day trips and transportation. There is a business center and a nice pool to relax at. The hotel is only 5-6 minutes by car from the diving center. You will be shuttled there every day for your diving. When the day is over, you can then relax by the pool. Or head into town to relax at a local restaurant and recharge for the next day.
You can of course combine your diving trip to Coron and the accommodation at Coron MO2 Westown Lagoon Hotel and all the wrecks with other locations in the Philippines. A couple of trips a year with Liveboard coming here too.

Dive center - Easy Diving
Easy diving offers diving close to Coron Town which can be reached within 20 to 30 minutes boat ride from Easydiving Coron Diveshop at Westown Bayview Resort. Usually you do 2 tank dives with motor boat or local "Banka Boats". The dive sites are varied but with a lot of focus on their famous wrecks from the Second World War.
History: On the morning of September 24, 1944 at 05.50:96, 6 Grumman F24F Hellcat fighters and 2 Curtiss SBXNUMXC Helldiver dive bombers took off from their US Navy boats towards Coron / Palawan to attack the remnants of the Japanese Navy's “Manila Fleet”. The ships hid in the secluded and calm waters of Coron Bay. During their attack, the Americans sank most of these ships in a short time, only one ship, the "Kamoi", managed to escape badly damaged to Hong Kong. Nowadays, these richly coral-covered shipwrecks create a world-class "Scuba Dive Destination", where divers from all over the world can view the incredibly rich marine life.
Normally 3 dives a day
Unless otherwise arranged, we can offer up to 3 dives during our Coron Bay shipwreck day trips. We usually start at 8am from our “Easydiving Coron” dive shop at “Westown Bayview Resort” and arrive back there around 17pm. On average, it takes just over an hour by boat to reach the first wreck dive site. Examples of wrecks are, Morazan Maru, Olympia Maru, Kogyu Maru, Iraku Maru, Akitsushima, Okikawa Maru, East Sangat wreck, Lutsong gun boat, Skeleton wreck, Nanshin Maru, Kyokuzan Maru but here are also many other dive sites such as Barracuda lake, Cathedral cave, Malpadon reef, Alcatraz reef, Siete Pecados, Twin Peaks and CYC island.
The dive sites are many times good for snorkelers and beginners while others are more for slightly more experienced divers.
The diving center also offers other non-diving activities such as:
Boat trips with picnics, swimming and snorkelling
Day trip to Busuanga with the opportunity to see dugongs
Day trip to Calauit Island Safari Park with the opportunity to see zebras, antelopes and many other African animals brought to the Philippines by former President Ferdinand Marcos in the seventies
Kayaks and SUP boards to rent to explore the surrounding Mangrove areas - motorbikes to rent to explore the island
