We at Scuba Travel recommend that you have the equivalent PADI Advanced Open Water certification to get the most out of this diving trip. You should have at least around 30 logged dives although anyone can go here and experience the Maldives. You should be comfortable with current diving as the currents can be strong at times. All dives take place from so-called dhonis or zodiacs in order to get more precisely in place for the dive and be able to help you up more easily after your dive. Experienced divers are allowed to dive in pairs without a guide.
