Contrary to what you might expect outside of a big city, you'll find fantastic corals, wall diving and different species of sharks. Everything from small bamboo sharks and epaulette sharks to large wobbegongs that are common here to shoals of hammerhead sharks and reef sharks. There are also many wrecks, several of which are from the Second World War. The macro life is very rich too so there is something for everyone.
Some of the best dive sites are concentrated along the coast and here are several barrier reefs. Many are absolutely fantastic under the right conditions, they have an almost magical diversity of fish.
