Galapagos safari liveaboard

A Galapagos safari with a liveaboard is the ultimate way to experience these mythical and exciting islands. Because of the many ocean currents that meet at the Galapagos Islands, marine life is abundant here. Schools of hundreds of sharks are not uncommon to come across. But it's not just the sharks that attract divers to the Galapagos. Here you also have the chance to dive with other fantastic animals such as sea lions, penguins and marine iguanas.

During the months of May to November, it is common to see various kinds of whales in the Galapagos. They have migrated from the coast of Ecuador towards the islands in search of food and reproduction. The most common species are bottlenose dolphin, humpback whale and pilot whale. The great plankton eater, the whale shark is often seen in large shoals and it is very common to encounter them during a dive in some unique locations.

For most people, visiting Darwin and Wolf Islands is a must when you go on a diving trip to the Galapagos. It also means that these months are the most popular and get fully booked the fastest. These unique dive sites are located 15 hours by boat north of the main islands. Here you usually see schools of hammerhead sharks, rays, whale sharks and dolphins. These two islands will be some of the absolute highlights of your vacation. Of course, the other months are also very good diving.
