Spice Island Divers Ambon in Indonesia and the Moluccas

Spice Island divers is located on the fantastic and in diving circles, the island of Ambon in the southern Moluccas. Directly at the beach where you have access to fantastic diving on the house reef. There are 10 spacious bungalows and 4 Garden rooms. They are just a stone's throw from the beach and the main building where you have the diving center and restaurant. Here you always have a wonderful view directly towards the sea. All the air-conditioned bungalows have a terrace.

Directly in front of the resort is a fantastic house reef, where you can dive from the jetty or directly from shore. The marine life here is absolutely fantastic with lots of strange animals such as crustaceans, octopuses, nudibranchs, frogfish, ghost pipefish and much much more. Here is also very suitable for snorkelers (swimming shoes or boots are recommended though). Frogfish are very common here and many different species, colors and sizes.

The world's best place for frogfish?

In the horseshoe-shaped bay, you have some of the world's undoubtedly best muck and macro diving. On the outside of the island you will find magnificent rock walls covered with coral and fantastic cave and rock formations below the surface. Sometimes hammerhead sharks and other large fish such as whale sharks and manta rays can appear. Large shoals of tuna or barracuda are also quite common.

During the height of the spice trade, the spices were worth more than their weight in gold. Also, don't miss a visit to the local market where you'll find a colorful array of spices, fruits and vegetables. Here you have plenty of unique photo opportunities.

All meals here are served à la carte and the food is good and varied. A night on the way there and/or back via Jakarta is recommended to make your diving trip as smooth as possible. Here, chances are you'll see many different ones liveaboards Pass. Especially during spring or autumn when they do their transition trips between Komodo and Raja Ampat. It is also the starting point for several liveaboards in the Banda Sea. For those who like macro diving, this is a true paradise.
