Tasik Ria Resort in Manado and Tasik Divers
Tasik Ria Resort is located just outside Manado directly by the sea, about 30-40 minutes' drive south of the provincial capital Manado. You fly here from Singapore or Jakarta and in just over three hours you are in North Sulawesi. This is one of the world's most famous and talked about diving destinations at Bunaken Marine Park. Tasik Ria resort is a relatively large resort with large spaces and a lovely large pool surrounded by pool view rooms. Further down towards the beach there is another large pool and here there are also Sea View bungalows.
Common to all rooms is that they are well-proportioned and of a good standard. Here everything is within close distance and the large restaurant offers good food in buffet style. Full board applies here and the food is good. One day a week, if the weather permits, you can have a dinner down by the beach and the bar with entertainment. Everything from singing children to dancing and fireworks from the locals. There are about 40 rooms in total here, and of course all rooms have their own shower and toilet, air conditioning and a safe for storage.
The diving takes place directly with the own diving center and you have several boats available. The boats are large and spacious with sun decks and toilets to make the trip to Bunaken and the islands as comfortable as possible. It is also possible to dive directly on the house reef, and the night dives here are usually very good.

The area around Bunaken Marine park offers a large number of diving sites. Partly out at the various islands where Bunaken is the most famous, but also along the coast there are countless opportunities for good and varied diving. 2 dives per day are included in the basic packages but you can do up to four dives per day including dusk, evening dives
The diving is suitable for those who want to make their first dives and learn to dive. Also for those of you who have come a bit in your diving career or are a more advanced diver and want a slightly bigger challenge.
The diving around Manado is very varied with everything from current diving, dramatic wall diving to simpler reef and muck dives, but there is also the possibility of wreck diving, mandarin fish diving and night diving. Here the marine life is rich and especially at the macro level but actually animals like reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, mola mola, dolphins and even tiger sharks have been seen here on occasion. Invertebrates are abundant and nudibranchs, echinoderms and octopuses compete for your attention. Live aboard rarely visit this area, but land-based accommodation applies. We recommend combining it with a few days in Lembeh Straits.
