Gozo

The small island of Gozo belongs to Malta and has a total of about 52 km of coastline. The island is well known for its underwater topography and is considered by many to be one of the best diving spots in the world. But the small island offers a lot even above the surface. Gozo has a beautiful landscape with dramatic rock formations and quaint little villages. Here you can feel the history and culture and the island has a nice and relaxed atmosphere about it. Land-based diving here around Gozo is otherwise one of the big draws.

The summers are long, hot and dry, but the winter is rainy and often very windy. The water temperature in summer can reach 28° degrees and is at its coldest in March when it drops to 13-14 degrees. There is much more to do in Gozo than diving. The island is perfect for holidays, hiking, climbing and there are many historical places to visit. There is also the opportunity to go wine tasting or why not just relax and enjoy at one of the small nice restaurants in one of the island's small communities by the sea and soak up the nice atmosphere. There is thus a wide range of activities for non-diving days or for a travel party that does not dive.

The diving

The diving in Malta and Gozo is known to be among the best in Europe and the Mediterranean. You can get there in just a few hours and it's easy and convenient when you arrive at Malta International Airport. Visibility here is often over 25-30 meters and sometimes even longer. The water temperature varies depending on the season, but compared to the Nordic region it is always warmer. In summer, the temperature can exceed the 30° degree mark, but 25-26°C is more normal. Today, along these small islands, there are plenty of wrecks and at varying depths. Here there are wrecks from both the First and Second World Wars - bombers, fighter transport ships, submarines, minesweepers and destroyers among many others.

Cyprus – News of the year!

Cyprus at Mediterranean coast offers beautiful and dramatic diving. The crystal clear water often offers good visibility but conditions can vary. Here you experience exciting rock formations that the sun's rays shine on or through. Walls that go straight into the sea and are often covered with fungi and different types of algae. Crustaceans, echinoderms and various fish can be seen here, but also slightly larger animals such as turtles, barracuda, sea bass and various rays are sometimes seen. A real experience is to see a seahorse.

There are lovely beaches here, really good and varied food. On land there are plenty of experiences with everything from hiking, spa, kayaking, sup, sailing, climbing and much more. The food is generally very good and typical Mediterranean food with lots of vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. As a destination, Cyprus is very suitable for the whole family. The best time to dive in Cyprus is the summer months when the temperature is pleasant in both the air and the water, but you can dive all year round. However, it is noticeably colder during our winter months and in the spring.
The diving

When diving in Cyprus and the Mediterranean, it is often the visibility that makes the diving amazing. Cyprus has a relatively sparse marine life with fish and invertebrates. Here you can also find corals and sponges that dress and color the awesome rock formations.
Here in Cyprus you will also find a lot of wrecks. Many are relatively deep but there are also in shallow water and the most famous of them all is of course Zenobia. You can dive in Cyprus with accommodation on land where you take day trips out to sea.
