Sharktastic

Sharktastic liveaboard safari in the Maldives is a popular diving trip. The focus of this tour is to see and dive with large sharks. This the liveaboard tour in the Maldives only run occasionally when the monsoon and currents are right. Diving trips to the Maldives this time of year are popular and in demand. We recommend booking in time.

The tour normally takes you to the southeastern part of the Ari Atolls where manta rays and whale sharks are common. The atolls Vaavu and Meemu, which are located to the south, are also visited. To maximize the opportunities and chances of seeing larger fish that are common, diving takes place in the channels in and out of the atolls. Large numbers of sharks and rays often gather here. In the right season, the Sharktastic tour with a liveaboard in the Maldives is a fantastic experience.

South Ari Atoll: Dive and snorkel with whale sharks and scuba dive at beautiful pinnacles.
South Male Atoll: Dive with grey reef sharks, eagle rays, other pelagic species, macro.
Vaavu and Meemu Atoll: Gray reef sharks, eagle rays, other pelagic species and more traditional channel diving.

please note: For this safari we recommend you and everyone to be Advanced Open Water divers. You can also have about 30 logged dives. You should be comfortable diving in flowing water as the currents can be strong. All the dives you do are from dhonis or zodiacs instead of from your liveabaord. Because it is easier to then reach a more precise location for the dive and be able to pick you and your partner up more easily. Experienced divers are allowed to dive in pairs without a guide.
