The Southern Visayas safari liveaboard is a fantastic dive trip that offers truly wonderful and varied diving in the central Philippines. You will experience several of the best and most talked about dive sites during this tour. The Visayas are the central islands of the Philippines and a Southern Visayas safari makes it possible to visit several of them in a short time. This tour starts in Cebu or Dumaguete and has several exciting stops along the route.
The western part of Cebu Island offers great diving at Moalboal. The large schools of sardines that are normally found here can completely obscure the light. The whale sharks in Oslob in southern Cebu and the muck diving in Dauin on the island of Negros are also fantastic experiences. There is also the small island of Apo Island. Apo offers fantastic reefs and usually lots of turtles. On this trip, there will often be diving at beautiful Bohol with the island of Cabilao. The island, with its lovely wall dives and fantastic slopes with white sand, can surprise you enormously. You may stop at the island of Balicasag, but that depends on the conditions as diving here is severely limited today. The Southern Visayas safari with a liveaboard is a wonderful trip through central Visayas. This is a trip that will offer you veryandad and varied diving.
Different tours different parts of the year
You can go on this tour during parts of the year. However, not when the Tubbataha Reef season is in progress. At that time of year (around March – June) all the liveaboards drive there instead. The number of days for your diving cruise depends on your wishes and the boat's schedule. On board you enjoy full board and relaxation and the crew will guide you to all the different dive sites to ensure you have a truly wonderful diving trip. Southern Visayas safari will give you amazing diving from your liveaboard. Everyone who dives can go along as the diving is essentially simple. Sample itinerary, Southern Visayas, Cebu, Bohol, Negros
Day 1
You leave Scandinavia and fly to Cebu or Manila/Dumaguete, Philippines
Day 2
When youandaYou will be transferred to the hotel where you will spend the first night. This night is recommended to cover any flight and luggage delays (additional cost).
Day 3
After a calm start to the day, you go to your liveaboard and you board the boat. Make yourself at home on board to start enjoying the fantastic diving and top class service!
Day 4 – 8/12
These are your diving days! The cruises are 6-10 nights depending on the choice of tour and the boat's schedule. How much you will dive depends on the weather, but usually your days will look like this. You wake up to a light breakfast then it's time for your first dive of the day. A full breakfast is then served and then you can take it easy and enjoy the silence. Time to do the second dive of the day. When you come up it's time for lunch, enjoy and then the third dive of the day. When you come up you will enjoy a great dinner and then do a sunset or night dive.
Day 9/13
You check out from the boat and take a transfer to the airport to then fly home to Scandinavia again from Cebu or Dumaguete or if you continue your diving trip and adventure in the Philippines.
