Jennie Soriano and Tobias Dahlin will talk and give valuable tips and ideas on how to compose and improve your images below the surface. They will give valuable tips on how to develop as a photographer/filmmaker.
Jennie is a passionate diver and underwater photographer with a strong commitment to the ocean. In her daily life, she works at Havets Hus in Lysekil, where she imparts knowledge about life below the surface.
Tobias has a lifelong love for the sea. It has become a place where he feels as much at home as above the surface. Tobias has produced award-winning photographs and films, created after countless hours in cold and demanding environments. He has a unique ability to capture life below the surface where his fascination is conveyed in books, films and exhibitions. Tobias is also a reporter at Deep Sea Production.
Tobias' work gives him daily insight into the ocean's both magnificent and vulnerable reality. This has given him weight in his storytelling. As a member of PhotoNatura, Naturfotograferna and Naturfilmarna, he is among the Nordic region's foremost nature photographers.
Jennie and Tobias are proud ambassadors for VOTO (Voice of the ocean). They are known for conducting, supporting and promoting science and communication about the ocean.
You and the other group participants will have a fantastic day of diving and relaxation. The resort in Anilao in the Philippines has a swimming pool and a wonderful dive bar. Jennie Soriano and Tobias Dahlin are on the trip and will give presentations and valuable tips on UV photography and video during the trip. Both are experienced travelers and photographers and will be able to help on site and help you with compositions and how you can develop as a photographer.
Jennie has been on several of Scuba Travel's trips before as an ambassador and will be able to tell you more about different destinations and give tips for future trips. Tobias is an experienced traveler and has visited several places and spent countless hours under the surface filming and photographing. His in-depth knowledge of the ocean will give you a lot of information about marine life and how it is affected by us humans.
Diving in Anilao, Philippines
Anilao just south of the great world metropolis Manila has become, and rightly so, one of the Philippines' most popular destinations for divers in recent years. Here there is fantastic so-called muck diving. Large areas of sand and mud and scattered here and there oases with corals and reefs. In addition, fantastic reefs, steep cliffs and coral gardens with lots of marine life, fish and enormous species diversity. Here there are fish of all imaginable sizes, colors and shapes, even sometimes reef sharks, turtles, tuna, barracuda and other species are sometimes seen but also stingrays, eagle rays, mantas with luck.
The invertebrates, cephalopods, nudibranchs, crustaceans and echinoderms dominate together with sponges, sea urchins and various corals or sea urchins. The diversity of species is fantastic and all dive sites are relatively close so there are rarely long trips. The diving is varied and different animals thrive more or less well in different places, which is why one day is rarely the same as the next. But with the help of experienced guides with familiar eyes and knowledge of marine life, you will be able to experience a lot of fun and excitement with a variety of strange creatures that you might not have thought or even knew existed. The house reef here is one of the best in the Philippines with amazing macro life.
Anilao is a real diving paradise and you can actually go here all year round as the weather is relatively stable and the area is very calm and peaceful. If it's windy, there's almost always an alternative. For those of you who want to extend the trip either at the beginning or after, it is entirely possible and we will help you find good solutions for this.
Buceo Anilao resort
You will live at Buceo Anilao resort. This is a small resort and is a bit secluded so there is peace and quiet. The rooms are simply furnished but offer good comfortable accommodation and what you need to enjoy and relax. All rooms have their own shower and toilet, air conditioning and a veranda outside where it is nice to relax for a while after the day's activities. Breakfast is included in the trip.
There is a bar, massage, a lovely pool and of course diving. The resort is not for those looking for luxury, the luxury is being here and diving but it is very charming and pleasant. 8 diving days with 2 dives / day included.
For those who wish to do 3 or 4 dives a day, this can be arranged in advance. Evening/night dives are possible in the dives that are included.
Blackwater diving can be booked on site.

You leave Scandinavia and fly to Manila, the capital of the Philippines

Arrival in Manila where you will be met and later transfer to Anilao - about 2,5 hours by car
November 07 - 17
10 nights accommodation in a deluxe double room including full board. 8 diving days with 2 dives / day pre-booked including tank, weights, boat and guide. Lectures with focus on UV photo and video.
November 17
You check out of the resort and here it is either a transfer to the airport and a flight to Scandinavia or, for those who extend the trip, either a continued stay in the Philippines or perhaps in a big city on the way home. We will of course help you with arrangements here as well.
