Diving – cenotes, sea dives & Cozumel
The diving during your stay in Playa del Carmen is done together with Devocean Divers, a personal and well-reputed dive center that works with small groups and great flexibility. The diving is set up to provide as varied an experience as possible and combines cenote diving, ocean diving in the Caribbean and a day trip to Cozumel.
For three days you will dive in cenotes, the spectacular freshwater caves for which the Yucatán Peninsula is world famous. Cenote diving offers crystal clear water, impressive geological formations and a magical play of light where sun rays break through the cave systems. The diving takes place in calm water without currents and is suitable for both experienced divers and those who want to experience something completely unique in the world of diving.
A day is spent scuba diving in Playa del Carmen, where you will dive on Caribbean reefs with colorful corals and rich marine life. Depending on the season, you may see turtles, rays, moray eels and large schools of fish. The area is also known for its seasonal encounters with larger marine species.
The package also includes a day of diving in Cozumel, one of the Caribbean's most famous diving destinations. Here you experience classic drift diving along large coral reefs with very good visibility, where you calmly let the current carry you over colorful reef formations. The day in Cozumel gives the trip an extra dimension and complements the cenote and ocean diving on the mainland in the best way.
