Experience Indonesia and North Sulawesi on a diving trip that takes you straight into some of the world's most species-rich and fascinating underwater environments. In March 2027, you will travel with our ambassador and world photographer Magnus Lundgren to iconic Lembeh Straits and on to Bangka Island. Two places that have forever written themselves into diving history through their variety, their incredible biodiversity and their completely unique character.
The journey begins in Lembeh Straits, an area considered by many to be the very heart of the macro diving world. Here, on the black lava sands, an underwater world awaits that is as strange as it is magical. This is where muck diving was born and developed into a global sensation. Every dive is a journey of discovery where small details suddenly become the main attraction. Up close you will encounter mimic octopuses that change shape in the sand. Strange frogfish that move almost invisibly along the bottom. Pygmy seahorses, as small as roaches, and a host of other creatures make Lembeh known as one of the most unique marine places on the planet.
For those who want to deepen the adventure even further, there is the possibility of combining the trip. Ten nights in Lembeh with five nights on the wonderful Bangka Island. Here the underwater scene changes completely. From the murky lava sands of Lembeh you suddenly dive into a world of crystal clear water. Intense colors and coral gardens that stretch out in all directions. Bangka offers a more classic reef diving, but with an energy and species richness that makes the area one of the Manado region's most beloved dive sites. The contrast between Lembeh and Bangka becomes a natural and inspiring whole. Where you get to experience two completely different sides of Indonesia's marine treasures.

The diving in Lembeh Straits is perhaps the world's most famous and talked about when it comes to muck diving. Here you are first met by what appears to be deserted sand and mud bottoms, but you soon realise that this is a hiding place for some of the sea's most strange and fascinating creatures. Hidden in the black lava sand is everything from perfectly camouflaged fish to small invertebrates that are so well adapted to the environment that you almost miss them at first glance. And although muck diving is the focus, it sometimes happens that larger visitors find their way into the strait - mantas, mobulas, eagle rays, dolphins and even whale sharks can appear as unexpected surprises that add an extra touch of charm to the experience.
