Diving around Tulamben
Bali is one of Indonesia's most popular destinations and a perfect place to take your first steps as a diver. It combines good accommodation, well-functioning dive centers and a relaxed atmosphere with exciting experiences both above and below the surface. Although some parts of the island are lively, Tulamben is a quieter area where you can focus on your course and enjoy your holiday at the same time.
Around Tulamben and Seraya there are several dive sites within easy reach of the resort, making it easy and convenient to learn to dive. Many of the sites are accessible directly from the beach and are perfect for beginners. Here you will be greeted by calm conditions, colorful corals and a rich marine life from your first dives.
The diving just outside the resort offers exciting macro life – small details and species that make each dive unique. One of the area’s most famous dives is the USS Liberty wreck, which is often a highlight even for new divers. There are also coral gardens and slopes here, giving you a nice variety during your course.
When you want to discover more, Amed is a short trip away, and for those who continue diving after the course, even more opportunities open up. Bali offers a variety that will allow you to quickly feel how you are developing in your diving - while having the entire island's culture, nature and experiences within reach.
This is a place where it feels natural to start and hard not to want to continue.
Bali Dive Resort and Spa
Bali Dive Resort offers good and comfortable accommodation and is located directly on the sea. The majestic Mount Agung is located a little south of the resort and offers a beautiful setting. The resort is only 5 minutes drive from Tulamben and is a perfect place for everyone. Whether you are a free diver, diver, non-diver or traveling with the family. The resort has its own dive center and a house reef that offers really good macro diving. The dive sites in Tulamben and Amed are all within a 5-30 minute drive from the hotel. Here at the resort there is a pool and large open areas and full board is included during your trip.
Itinerary day by day
Day 1
You leave Scandinavia and fly to Denpasar, Bali.
Day 2 - 5
The Open Water course normally starts the day after arrival and lasts for three days with both pool training and ocean dives. Before the trip, you will have access to e-learning, so you can go through the theory in advance.
Day 6 - 9
After completing the course, there is the option to add more dives, either in advance or on site. Tulamben is a great place to explore Bali from above. There are opportunities to visit waterfalls, do coffee tastings or try other local activities. The resort staff is happy to help arrange excursions.
Day 10
It's time to head home again after a magical holiday in Bali.
