Nusa Penida is a beautiful island that offers magnificent views, especially at the dramatic cliffs along the coast.
Scuba Junkie Penida is located on the north side of the island and is surrounded by white sandy beaches. Just a few minutes walk away you will experience amazing sunsets directly from the beach. The resort is built in modern traditional Balinese style, with a lot of recycled materials and wood from the resort's own land. Since the reception is a great gathering point to share stories from the day's dives or fill in your logbook, it is easy to meet others here.

Diving around Nusa Penida
The diving out here is done almost exclusively around Nusa Penida. Dive sites such as the coral garden which is teeming with marine life with corals in all its forms as well as rays, pusher fish, puffer and trunk fish, dragon fish, bumphead parrot fish, clown fish, scorpion fish, emperor fish, barracuda and also various species of sharks. Perhaps what has made Nusa Penida most famous for diving is probably that during the season it is possible to see and dive with Mola mola or lumpfish. This is truly a strange fish and well worth trying at least one day's diving in season to get the chance to see these very strange fish.
The area is suitable for both beginners and divers in training, as well as more challenging dives for experienced divers looking for a bit of adventure. Turtles are seen daily and if you are lucky you may also see reef sharks, rays, giant trevallys, tuna and sometimes even whale sharks, dolphins and other larger species during your dives.
There is also exciting current diving on the north side where there is a chance to see different species of shark including whale sharks, dolphins and much more. The western and southern parts are also known for offering diving with manta rays. There are often strong currents and winds in the area here and this can mean that diving is not possible every day of the year, but when it is possible, it is an exceptional dive with these angels of the sea. Anything from one or two mantas up to thirty come in and let themselves be groomed and treated at the grooming stations located here. Stingrays and other smaller cartilaginous fish are often found among the boulders.
It is possible to do these Mola mola and manta ray dives as a day trip but we suggest staying out here for a few nights as there is so much to experience both below and above the surface. Contact us and we will book you in with one of Bali's best dive centers and accommodations.

Itinerary day by day
Day 1
You leave Scandinavia and fly to Denpasar, Bali.
Day 2
You arrive in Bali and are transferred to your accommodation for the first night.
Day 3 - 8
After breakfast, you will be transferred by car and boat to Nusa Penida. The Open Water course normally starts the day after arrival and lasts for three days with both pool training and ocean dives. Before the trip, you will have access to e-learning, so you can go through the theory in advance. One day is set aside for extra diving and time to discover the island
Day 8
Transfer back to mainland Bali and here you have another night's accommodation and some time to shop and experience more of Bali.
Day 9
You check out today and have a transfer to the airport. It's time to head home again after a magical holiday in Bali and Nusa Penida.
Day 10
