Unique trip – Scandinavian Dive Madness to Bonaire will be a unique diving trip. Imagine meeting Scandinavian divers on one trip with the opportunity to meet new people, make contacts in the diving world. This trip will offer meetings, information, lectures, raffles, competitions and a lot of socializing. An attempt to open up our Scandinavian “diving community” and broaden knowledge and experiences.
Experience – Few places in the world offer as much diving as Bonaire and the simplicity is completely unique. You have accommodation and breakfast and then proximity to the dive center where you can step directly into the water at the house reef or pick up your scuba tanks and pack the car and then set off on an adventure on the island and dive wherever you want at any of the dive sites offered along the coast.
Bonaire is a marine park so the entire island is protected and here you will find everything from sandy bottoms, to slopes and walls. Coral forests with lots of fish, rays, squid, tarpon, sometimes sharks and lots of fun to see. No other place in the world can compare to Bonaire and the Diving Freedom that really makes this a diving paradise. Bonaire
With over 80 dive sites, more than half of which are accessible from land, you have access to the Caribbean's fantastic reefs. Here life is simple and you dive when you want, sleep when you want and eat almost when you want. Whether you choose 2 or 7 seven dives per day, it's diving that counts on this little paradise island. Just outside the city of Kralendijk is the lovely Buddy Dive resort and nowhere else is diving easier than here and more easily accessible. You have your rental car and get around the island at your own pace, dive where and when you want and experience the comfortable life of diving freedom. A concept that was coined back in the 1960s and that still holds true today, making Bonaire ranked as one of the world's best diving destinations every year
The marine life is rich but there are also some wrecks and the corals are in good condition at several dive sites. All dive sites are easy to find as they are marked with chicken yellow rocks and you just drive as close to the sea as you can and then change and step in. Others have a bit more to walk but are well worth the “trouble” – don’t miss the 1000 steps for example. Not for tired legs but a must for every diver on Bonaire.
The salt pier and many other places are also not to be missed and in fact the house reef at Buddy Dive is really good and for those who want to practice UV photography there are few places where it is so easy to practice.
Buddy Dive Resort
The accommodation at Bonaire and Buddy Dive resort is simple but good and here you live comfortably right by the sea in apartments with plenty of space. Each apartment has its own rooms for two to six people with two people per room and a separate bathroom for each bedroom. A common room with kitchen, stove, refrigerator. Breakfast buffet is included and there are two restaurants. One of Bonaire's best reefs is located right outside the dive center just one step out into the sea. Here you have the world's most famous drive through for divers. You simply drive in the car and collect your bottles and then just go on when you feel it's time. There is also a very good house reef here that suits all levels of experience.
Itinerary day by day
Day 1
You leave Scandinavia and fly to Bonaire via Amsterdam, arriving late afternoon. Transfer to the dive resort and check-in
Day 1 – 8
07 nights accommodation in a double room including breakfast 6 wonderful days with unlimited shore diving, rental car, tank, weights, nitrox Accommodation is based on an apartment with two to three bedrooms for four to six people. Separate shower and bathroom for each bedroom, shared living room. One rental car pickup per apartment is included. Apartment for 2 people for an additional fee from +3,000 SEK / person
Day 08
Transfer in the afternoon to the airport and fly via Amsterdam back to Scandinavia
