Tulamben is perhaps Bali's most famous dive site and a small fishing village that attracts divers from all over the world. Here is the famous wreck of the USS Liberty, which sank in 1963 and is now home to a fantastic marine life. The beaches are lined with black volcanic sand from nearby Mt Agung and the area offers both easy dives from land and exciting excursions by boat. For families or beginners, Tulamben is an excellent choice - there are several easy dive sites and good opportunities to take a diving course. We recommend, for example, Bali Dive Resort & Spa, a Swedish-run resort with a pool, house reef and Swedish instructors.
Bali Dive Resort and Spa is located in northeast Bali in the Scuba Seraya area. Here you have access to comfortable rooms with views to the south of the majestic Mount Agung. To the north, the sea is just outside. Directly on the beach consisting of black volcanic sand, you have access to diving and snorkeling.
Several dive sites are within just a 5-10 minute drive, including Bali's most famous dive site in Tulamben. The Liberty wreck is now a very popular dive site and is also visited by snorkelers and free divers. The wreck is now a living reef with lots of coral, sponges and a multitude of marine life. Scuba Seraya and Tulamben are a perfect place for free divers, divers, non-divers and families.

Own diving center and many diving sites nearby
The resort has its own diving center which makes it convenient. They take care of diving equipment and manage transport to your dive sites. Diving on the house reef is also fully possible directly from the beach. Here you have nice macro diving with mainly black volcanic sand and some rocks but also corals and lots of fish. You will find an exciting marine life here. Other dive sites visited in Tulamben and Amed are all within a 30 minute drive from the resort.
Bali Dive Resort & Spa Bali is located in Scuba Seraya near Tulamben. Within a 30 minute drive you can find a variety of dive sites. All well suited for both freediving and diving. The diving just off the beach and resort offers very good macro diving and is a paradise for underwater photographers.
Bali Dive Resort offers SSI courses, from "Try Diving" to "Rescue Diver", with Swedish or English speaking instructors.

At Bali Dive Resort and Spa you will find everything you could wish for. A large pool is here where you can enjoy the sea right outside. Beach area with the local life outside, spa, free Wifi and the famous Balinese hospitality. There are a total of nine bungalows scattered across the garden. All with a view to the sea. All bungalows have air conditioning, fan, sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV, hot water, hair dryer, refrigerator, mini bar, safe and terrace. Here at the resort there is an own restaurant and the food is very good and varied.
