Experience Fury Shoals, one of Egypt's most spectacular dive sites, offering a stunning variety of reefs and marine environments. Here you will find colorful coral gardens, dramatic walls and a rich marine life. Everything from large schools of reef fish to turtles, rays and sometimes even sharks.
The crystal clear water and well-preserved reefs make every dive a memorable experience, whether you have many dives under your belt or are discovering the underwater world of the Red Sea for the first time.
During the trip you will explore several of Fury Shoals most well-known dive sites, where you still encounter untouched and authentic nature. The area offers an impressive variety of diving, from colorful coral gardens and shallow lagoons to dramatic reef walls and exciting swim-throughs. The rich marine life means that each dive has its own character. With opportunities to encounter everything from turtles and Napoleon fish to large schools of reef fish and curious dolphins.
Between dives, you will enjoy relaxing moments on board while enjoying the clear waters and magnificent views of the Red Sea. You will fill your days with fantastic diving, scenic environments and memorable experiences both above and below the surface, in a part of the Red Sea that still feels genuine, calm and far from the major tourist routes.

Along for the ride
The trip is carried out together with Carlsen Diving Center, who participates during the trip and contributes with long experience and solid knowledge of diving in the Red Sea. This gives you extra security, professional guidance and valuable insights into the area's unique dive sites.
The diving
Fury Shoals consists of several reefs along the southwestern coast of the Red Sea and offers diving at some of Egypt’s most pristine reefs. The hard and soft corals are well preserved and are one of the highlights of dive sites such as Fury Shoal Garden. Fury Shoals includes the Sataya dolphin area, the Claudio and Malahi cave systems, and Shoab Maksour, and offers something for everyone. There is wall diving, opportunities to see sharks, spinner dolphins, and both shallow and deep dive sites, making the area popular with divers of all levels.
Wadi El Gemal, south of Marsa Alam and north of Ras Banas, are visited during this route. The marine area covers approximately 2,100 square kilometers and is home to coral reefs with hundreds of coral species and thousands of species of marine life. The islands in the area are also important nesting sites for birds. Some of the most well-known reefs are Shaab Sharm, Habili El Ghadeer and Shaab Marsa Alam. The depth in the area reaches down to about 20 meters.
Abu Dabbab Reef, near Elphinstone, offers beautiful coral gardens and exciting swims through a cave system. There is also a small wreck from a liveaboard that sank in 2004. The depth reaches 30-40 meters and the current conditions can be strong at times.
