March 17 - 30, 2027

Experience Indonesia and Lembeh in North Sulawesi. This will be a diving trip that will take you straight into some of the world's most species-rich and fascinating underwater environments. In March 2027, you will travel together with our ambassador and world photographer Magnus Lundgren to iconic Lembeh StraitsLembeh in North Sulawesi is one of the world's most exciting areas to dive.

Lembeh is known for its black volcanic sand and its almost unreal biodiversity. Here, beneath the surface, a world awaits that is as strange as it is magical. It was also here that muck diving was born. A form of diving where the focus is on the small, the unusual and what often goes unnoticed. That is precisely why the result is an experience that is both intense and deeply fascinating.

In Lembeh, diving is all about the details. Rather than big views, it’s about slowly gliding across the bottom and discovering life that’s barely imaginable. For example, you’ll see mimic octopuses that change both shape and behavior to blend in with their surroundings. At the same time, you can spot frogfish lying perfectly camouflaged in the sand. In addition, there are pygmy seahorses, barely bigger than grains of rice, and a host of other strange and rare species that make every dive a constant journey of discovery.

It is this unique combination of environment, extreme biodiversity and constant surprises that makes Lembeh one of the world's most exciting diving destinations. Therefore, there is always something new to see, even for you who are a diver.
Come and experience Indonesia and the Lembeh Straits in North Sulawesi. This is an absolute must-dive spot at some point in your life.

The diving

Lembeh Straits

The diving in Lembeh Straits is perhaps the most talked about and famous muck diving in the world. Here you are first met by what appears to be deserted sand and mud bottoms, but you soon realize that this is a hiding place for some of the sea's most strange and fascinating creatures. In the black lava sand hides everything from perfectly camouflaged fish to small invertebrates that are so well adapted to the environment that you almost miss them at first glance. And although the muck diving is the focus, it sometimes happens that larger visitors find their way into the strait - mantas, mobulas, eagle rays, dolphins and even whale sharks can appear as unexpected surprises that add an extra touch of gold to the experience.
