Diving trip to the Maldives with Liveaboard

by Patrik Jonson

Diving trip with Scuba Travel to the Maldives October 2021.

Finally we were able to get on the road again after a while of waiting. It was time to go on our long-awaited diving trip to the Maldives in October 2021. We were supposed to go last year but unfortunately had to cancel due to the pandemic, but now it finally happened. This was our 22nd year that we organize diving trips from Sweden to the host Oceaner.

We are a happy bunch of different ages and backgrounds who love to dive, meet new people and share experiences with others. This year it was the Maldives' turn and again, we got help from Daniel at Scuba travel to organize our fantastic dream trip. The journey went from Arlanda to Malé. At Malé airport we were picked up by a representative from Emperordivers. They followed us to the harbor there live board stood and waited, then finally the adventure began.

We have been diving with Emperor divers for many years, Red Sea, Maldives and Indonesia. They are well organized, professional and have always looked after the wildlife and its environment which is important to us, we will definitely dive with them again. We spent our week on our liveaboard MV Emperor Explorer to carry out our dives.

GOOD

Emperor himself calls the trip BOM (Best of Maldives) and I can only agree. MV Emperor Explorer took us around to a lot of incredibly beautiful dive sites such as some of my favorites like Seven heaven, Fishhead (which got its name from the fishermen because they only got fish heads. Guess why? sharks!! and Alimatha house reef. Where you can dive with up to 100 Nursesharks. We dived with about 30 this time and they were really close. They even ran over one of the company. haha. (I've been there before times and there have been about 60 sharks.)

We also managed to swim with a whale shark this time. We also had the opportunity to snorkel with lots of manta rays. Which was actually the first time for me, it's an incredible feeling to be able to swim around with the manta rays. They are next experienced as birds flying about in the blue.

We had a super trip with diving that far exceeded my expectations. If you are interested in booking a diving trip to the Maldives with a liveaboard, do not hesitate to contact Scuba Travel. They are really super professional and are good at the Maldives, diving trips and different combinations. I now have about 3300 new images to start working with.
